Published November 13, 2017 IPOB Ihuoma Chiedozie, Enugu The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra on Monday warned President Muhammadu Buhari to stay away from the South-East, which it referred to as ‘Biafraland’. The President is billed to visit Ebonyi State on Tuesday, his first visit to the South-East since in office. IPOB said there would be bloodshed if the President failed to heed the warning by going ahead with the trip. The pro-Biafra group, which gave the warning in a statement by its spokesman, Comrade Emma Powerful, referred to Buhari as ‘Jubril of Sudan’. In the statement, IPOB said Buhari’s visit to the South-East would amount to an insult to the memory of all Biafran activists who were killed by federal troops since the President assumed power in 2015. Buhari was speaking at the State House in Abuja during a special retreat of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on the challenges facing the Education sector in Nigeria themed: "Education in Nigeria: Challenges and Prospects". The president described as unaccountable a situation where teachers were not different from their students in terms of learning. Oghenekaro Etebo (20) in action for the Super Eagles against Algeria in Uyo in November last year   The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has criticised referee Eric Otogo-Castane of Gabon for awarding a late controversial penalty to Algeria in Friday’s 1-1 draw against Nigeria in the last game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles were forced to a draw when Yacine Brahaimi converted a late penalty which cancelled out John Ogu’s 62nd minute goal for Nigeria. CAF has criticised the incident that led to the penalty in their match report of the game, posted on cafonline.com, describing the referee’s decision as harsh.
