we will look at the various satellites receivable in Nigeria for free. what is free to air?, these are channels that are not encrypted  i.e you don't need to pay any subscription or input any biss key.

this satellite comprises mostly Christian channels, and its a very easy and simple satellite to track, you will get over 100 Christian channels here including Nollywood and press tv for movies and news respectively and they are all free.
dish requirement: : 60cm dish ku band LNB
frequency:: 12722V26657 after nailing this frequency you blind scan to get the other channels.

this is a Ghanian based satellite tv provider. and over the years they have been improving and adding AWESOME channels to their package. you will get over 20 channels here Gtv, GH one, Angel tv, Cine plus, Joy prime, etct, including a channel that shows live football which is TV3. though you need to input a biss key to unlock it

Frequency use 12014V30000 to track and once you hit high percentage you blind scan to get other channels

note: you can use a single 90cm dish to track both eutelsat7 and ses 4.

well since the departure of mbc pakages from the footprint of west africa many people have forgotten about nilesat. well you can still get the channels only with a bigger dish  minimum dish 4m. and you will get the channels and many more. still same frequency 11938V27500. but you can still get aljezeera with this tp 10992V27500

this satellite has been in existence for many years, and this is the sat that carrys canal sat pakages.
canal sat is a paid tv company so am not going into that.
what are the stations that we can receive free of charge in this sat. well i will mention only one and its the best. it was known formally as LC2 but now know as NTV2 this channel carrys all africa continetal competition, like african cup of nations for all levels and including african champions league. no other channel ca n offer you best african football free of charge other than NTV2.
to track this channel use this frequency 10975V30000 and also outside football they are known for MAKOSA musics and other African HIT SONGS
