A Prominent Nigerian Pastor meets Buhari in London

Pastor Adeboye visits Buhari in London
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, yesterday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House in London.

Presidential spokesman,  Mr. Femi Adesina, on his official Facebook page, posted two photographs which Adeboye took with Buhari.

Buhari and his visitor were seated on a chair in one of the photographs and shook hands while standing in the second photograph.

Adesina captioned the photographs thus: “President Buhari receives General Overseer Worldwide Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye at the Abuja House London on 18 th Aug 2017 

President Buhari has been in London since May 7 for follow-up consultations with his doctors.

Earlier this month, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, had also paid a visit to Buhari in the United Kingdom and said he was delighted to see the rapid recovery Buhari had made from his health challenges.

Welby had then noted that this was a testimony to the healing powers of God, and answer to prayers of millions of people round the world.

Nigeria's VP Yemi Osinbajo stays home due to conflicting schedules with president

The vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has cancelled his trip to India due to protocol errors by the Protocol Department of the Presidency and awkward situation it puts the government in, as Senate President Bukola Saraki would have to perform the functions of the president. A presidency official commented on the situation:“When the President and VP are out of town, the running of the country will fall automatically into the hands of the Senate President. We did not want the awkwardness that would come with that scenario.” A 27-member delegation, including Yemi Osinbajo and two ministers, were to travel to India for a conference but due to conflicting schedules of vice president and president it was decided to cancel it.
