Use romantic metaphors like this on women, and you'll woo them in droves, concludes the authors of a recent study in the journal "Nature: Scientific Reports" entitled "Women prefer men who use metaphorical language when paying compliments in a romantic context".
In a nutshell, the authors paired up pictures of guys with written romantic statements that ranged from very literal to very metaphorical, and then they asked women to rate the attractiveness of the guys. The women were told that the statements were written down by the persons pictured.
The results revealed that the guys who proportedly wrote things like "Your eyes are morning dew" or "Your smile is a naughty goblin" were viewed as more attractive than the guys who supposedly wrote literal statements like "Your lips are so sexy."

The vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has cancelled his trip to India due to protocol errors by the Protocol Department of the Presidency and awkward situation it puts the government in, as Senate President Bukola Saraki would have to perform the functions of the president. A presidency official commented on the situation:“When the President and VP are out of town, the running of the country will fall automatically into the hands of the Senate President.
